Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce married Friday at Madison Square Garden in New York, in a ceremony officiated by comedian Adam Sandler before roughly 1,000 guests. Austin Swift was his sister's "Man of Honor"; Jason Kelce was best man for the NFL star. There were no bridesmaids or groomsmen.
Among the details circulating after the event, the couple's fashion choices drew the most attention from the industry. Swift wore a Christian Dior Haute Couture gown designed in collaboration with Dior creative director Jonathan Anderson. Kelce also wore Dior Haute Couture. Both wore custom Christian Louboutin shoes; Swift added Cartier jewelry. Swift's representative called it the "first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity" Anderson has designed.
The evening before the ceremony, the couple held a smaller celebration for around 100 guests. Outside the arena, a large screen displayed "JUST&T MARRIED."
What does this debut mean for Jonathan Anderson and Dior?
Haute Couture sits at the top of French fashion's hierarchy: garments are made entirely by hand, fitted to a single client, with labor hours far beyond any ready-to-wear line. Anderson had been Dior's creative director for about a year when the gown was made. This is his first bridal couture piece for a globally celebrated celebrity, a debut that unfolded not on a Paris runway but at the most-photographed wedding of 2026.
Anderson's record in the industry is long: 11 years at Loewe, where he built a reputation as one of Europe's most respected designers, and the JW Anderson label he founded before joining Dior. Now, within a short time of arriving at the house, his name is tied to a gown that will appear on magazine covers, social media timelines, and in fashion archives for years.
The commercial value of that organic exposure is hard to quantify. Couture houses often link a new creative director's arrival to a landmark celebrity moment. Swift's wedding, covered by hundreds of outlets and followed online by tens of millions, gave Anderson validation that no conventional advertising campaign could deliver.
Indonesian Swifties and the concert that never came
For Swift's Indonesian fan community, one of the most active Swiftie bases in Southeast Asia, the wedding filled a long-standing gap. The Eras Tour never came to Indonesia. The only Southeast Asian stop in 2024 was Singapore, which held exclusive regional rights. With no concert to attend, Indonesian fans channeled their enthusiasm toward the singer's personal milestones.
Swift spoke about Kelce in the docuseries Taylor Swift: The End of an Era, cited by CBS News: "It's shocking how many similarities we have towards our jobs and how we view them, and how we view each other." She also recalled their first meeting with wry humor: "If you ever would have told me that the most meaningful relationship I would ever have would start with a man saying that he was butthurt that I didn't want to meet him, like, unbelievable."
Guests included Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Lena Dunham, Hugh Grant, Jason Sudeikis, and Ethan Hawke, along with Swift's principal album producers Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner. From the NFL, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid attended with a number of players and staff.
Official photos and full design details, including silhouette, fabric, and craftsmanship, had not been released at publication time. The Dior and Swift teams typically disclose such details in stages.
